Capt. John McKinley by Thomas F. Menzel SAR #200708

Captain John McKinley was a sergeant and second lieutenant in the 13rd Virginia Regiment. He was also a sergeant and second lieutenant in the 3rd Virginia regiment from March to December 1776, and second lieutenant in the 13th Virginia regiment April 16, 1777. He resigned in February 1776 to be assigned with Captain Crawford’s expedition against Indians in 1781. He was killed during the action.
