The Michigan Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (MISSAR), in proud partnership with the New Mexico Society SAR (NMSSAR) and the NSSAR George Washington Endowment Fund, invites you to a Patriot Plaque Dedication Ceremony honoring three Revolutionary War veterans whose legacy shaped the early history of Michigan.
Join us this Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Chapel Cemetery in Parma, Michigan, for a meaningful tribute to:
- Private John Wall
- Private Samuel Hollister
- Private Abiathar Lincoln
These men were among the original settlers of the area and each left a lasting legacy of service. Their descendants went on to serve in the War of 1812 and the American Civil War, continuing a proud tradition of patriotism and sacrifice across generations.
This dedication, organized by the Pvt. Ephraim Wheaton Chapter SAR, will unveil a large commemorative plaque placed near the cemetery’s roadside entrance. It serves as a lasting reminder of the enduring contributions of these patriots and their families to the defense and development of our nation.
