John Stutler lived in Harrison County, (West) Virginia. He was born about 1757 and died about 1827 in Virginia. He married Sarah about 1784 and they had 12 children.
John served 154 days in Lord Dunsmore’s War (pre-Revolutionary War). He was on the Romney & Winchester pay rolls, and the October 1775 Capt. James Parsons roll. He was granted a pension as a Revolutionary War soldier from the Virginia House of Delegates on 4 December 1820.
