Capt. Joseph Livermore by J.C. Carlson NSSAR #166455

Joseph Livermore was an ensign in Captain Ebenezer Mason’s company of Minute Men, belonging to Colonel Jonathan Warner’s regiment, who marched from Spencer, Massachusetts on the alarm of 19th of April, 1775. He was afterwards a lieutenant in Captain Seth Washburne’s Company of Leicester, and his company was one of three of the regiments which fired on the British after the retreat began from the redoubt in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Afterward, he was made a captain. He subsequently moved from Spencer to East Sudbury, Massachusetts. (Listed as a Lieutenant in General Artemas Ward’s Regiment of Massachusetts Militia.)
