Peter Dull of Coldwater, MI was the 2003 1st place winner for the MISSAR Rumbaugh Oration contest.  It was held on February 15, 2003 in Novi, MI.  Peter a senior in the home school organization known as Christian Freedom Academy.  Peter is involved with many activities, including Big Brother/Big Sister, tutors in Branch Literacy Council, church's youth group, Student Statesmanship Institute, yearbook, and Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Compatriot Wayne Carpenter is officially the local SAR chapter Chairman of the Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Oration competition which sponsored Peter in the state competition.  Peter heard about the competition a year ago from an announcement of the competition in a home school web site placed by State Chairman John Horton.

Peter now advances to the National Competition, which will be this July 6th at the  Hyatt Regency Hotel on the River Walk, Chicago, Ill.

We congratulate Peter on his fine performance and wish him well on his next stop in Chicago.   We congratulate and thank all the people who participated in this year contest.
