March Paul Emery Chapter Meeting Features Officer Elections


On March 23, the Paul Emery Chapter met at the White Horse Inn in Metamora, Michigan for its annual chapter meeting. Officers for the 2019 year were elected and sworn in by MISSAR State President Jim Petres.

In the top photo, from left: MISSAR President Jim Petres swears in newly-elected officers President Norman Palmer, State Trustee Gerald Burkland, Chapter Trustee Aaron Wiles, 1st Vice President and State Trustee Bob Hawcroft, Secretary-Treasurer Ted Spear, Chapter Trustee Bruce Patterson, and Genealogist-Chapter Trustee Jay Taylor.

Paul Emery Chapter Represented at February BoM Meeting

On February 2nd, the Michigan Society of the Sons of the American Revolution met at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth for our Board of Managers Meeting. The gathering was greeted with a cordial welcome from owner Judy Zender (pictured center). National President General Warren Alter was also in attendance. Three Paul Emery Chapter members proudly participated in the event in Color Guard uniforms: Commander Gerald Burkland (3rd from right), Vice Commander Norman Palmer (2nd from left), and Aaron Wiles (far left). Joining these compatriots in Color Guard service were Robert Eager (2nd from right) and Guard Drummer David Moore.

Paul Emery Chapter Inducts New Member

The Paul Emery Chapter is proud to present it's newest inductee, Bruce Patterson. He was sworn in 22 January 2019 by chapter president Norman Palmer. Compatriot Patterson is a veteran with stories and conversations for all. The Paul Emery Chapter welcomes him to the SAR!
