The GLD meeting will reconvene at 8:00 AM in the morning until its conclusion at noon. A lunch will be served. The MISSAR Board of Managers Meeting will begin at 1:00 PM and end at 3:00 PM.

The color guard will post the colors at the beginning of the GLD. We will be directed by VPG Petres as Michigan is hosting this time. An event will be posted and continued by an evening dinner. The GLD meeting will continue on Oct. 19 with the color guard retiring the colors at it's conclusion.
Sunday, September 15, 2019 Richard Jersey Gravesite Dedication S Ceremony begins at 2:00 PM at Washington South Cemetery in Washington Township in Macomb County. Washington Cemetery is located on the NE corner of the intersection of Mound Road and 26 Mile Road.
Saturday, August 10, 2019 John Quick Gravesite Dedication S Ceremony begins at 11:00 AM at Quaker Cemetery, Maple Grove Twp. Quaker (Old Quaker/Lapham) Cemetery is located off Guy Road in Nashville, Maple Grove Township. Sec 26. Lat: 42° 31' 52"N, Lon: 85° 06' 38"W. Muster time is 10:15 AM. (To reach cemetery take Cloverdale Rd east off of M-66 for one mile, turn south onto Guy Road and continue for about ½ mi. The cemetery is east of the road on a two track road up in the woods and not seen from Guy Road. We will have a marker showing the road entrance.) G. Burkland (Commander)

Bernie Grosskopf is descendant. American Legion Post 45 will do a 21 gun salute, speeches by local DAR chapter, and CMC Secretary Bernie Grosskopf. Luncheon will follow for those who can attend paid by CMC at the VFW Post 8260 in Nashville, Michigan. (304 S. State St., about 7 miles north of the cemetery, phone: 517-852-9260).

Please look into attending this great opportunity to spread the word of the MISSAR to the public! This is a community involvement within a tourist town with people from all over the world. If you would like to march in a very large procession, you're the one we need. We educate the public of our Society and recruit prospective new members. Wonderful comaraderie within our ranks, too, and we have a great time. Luncheon usually provided free.

DAR representative is asking if the MISSAR Color Guard could do a Sword Salute at this re-dedication. At this time the service will consist of the DAR doing the re-dedication, a C.A.R. member playing taps, and the CG standing in uniform in the background if no Sword Salute is available. Revolutionary War Patriot Norman Phelps was a fifer at age 13 on the Continental Line. DAR member Charlotte Cooper will be the guest speaker. Immediately following the service, gathering will follow a fifer to the gravesites of Norman Phelps and his wife Sarah Cole, where Sashabaw Plains Chapter DAR will mark the graves.

This will be the 4th year in a row that the Kensington Valley Chapter has hosted the MISSAR Color Guard for this event. KVC will have a float, which those CG members who cannot walk the distance can ride on.

Monday, May 27, 2019 Memorial Day Parade N Muster time 9-9:30 AM in front of the Linden VFW Post 4642, 105 Mill St., Linden, MI 48451. Parade begins at 10:00 AM. Contact: Aaron Wiles. A. Wiles Parade is about a mile walk, about half in the shade, and they do a nice ceremony at the cemetery at the end. Parking at the library across the river, or behind the businesses on the west side of Bridge St. Hot dogs, chips, beverages & ice cream provided by the City of Linden at the VFW Hall after the parade.

The MISSAR Color Guard will march in and post the American and SAR colors. (Flags) at the beginning of the MISSAR Gala & Society Annual Meeting. Retirement of the colors will proceed directly after the end of each day's event and will be conducted by the attending color guard.
